Since his arrival in Dubai in 2014, James has continued to advise brand owners ranging from small businesses through to multinational companies across various industry sectors, including in the areas of entertainment; hospitality; cosmetics; food and beverages and online technology.
On his new appointment, James commented
“This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading regional firm with an international focus and outstanding reputation across a number of practice areas. As brand owners face ever increasing challenges in protecting and enforcing their intellectual property rights, both regionally and internationally, I especially look forward to working with Victoria Woods, who specialises in distribution, franchising and commercial agency, and also with the UAE legal advocates in our Dispute Resolution team led by Abdulrahman Juma, to offer our clients a full range of intellectual property expertise from one firm”.
Sadiq Jafar, Managing Partner of the Dubai office of Hadef & Partners commented
“We are delighted that James has joined the firm. His regional and international experience in intellectual property, combined with the expertise in our corporate, commercial and dispute resolution teams, will enable Hadef & Partners to meet the increasing needs of clients for advice in this sector.”
