Catriona is a partner heading the Banking & Finance practice. She has extensive, in-depth and multi-jurisdictional banking experience in private practice and in-house.
Catriona has spent 14 years in the UAE and is well versed in the UAE legal market, advising a wide and diverse range of clients, including lenders, borrowers, government-owned entities and development finance institutions on a variety of finance transactions in Europe, Africa, the US, Asia and the Middle East on all aspects of banking issues.
Prior to coming to the UAE, Catriona worked in the UK and Europe at a magic circle law firm. Catriona has over 17 years’ experience in all aspects of banking and finance gained from working at leading international law firms in the UAE and London and is also a former Head of Legal for Wholesale Banking for one of the largest banks in the Middle East. She has advised one of the region’s largest oil companies.
She is an Associate Member of The Chartered Governance Institute (ICSA) and an Associate Member of the GCC Board of Directors Institute.
Catriona holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Cape Town and was admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales in 2005.
