Tarik advises on a full range of UAE commercial and corporate matters, including company formation, registration of branches of foreign companies, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, as well as trade agency law. He also advises on IPOs and securities law and regulations, including advice on and assisting in, listing of companies on security exchanges in the UAE and representing them before the securities authorities in UAE.

 

He has extensive experience in employment law and practice in the UAE, including drafting of employment contracts and advising on personnel policy manuals, health care and employee incentive plans, retirement and end of service benefits as well as termination of employment contracts.

 

Tarik is also responsible for Hadef & Partners' Intellectual Property practice, including registration, protection (including enforcement) and licensing of trade marks in addition to representing clients before the Trade mark Registrar. He advises on copyright and patent law in the UAE and has advised governmental bodies on TRIPS.

 

Prior to joining Hadef & Partners, Tarik was head of Talal Abu Ghazaleh Intellectual Property – TMP Agents, the Arab region’s largest intellectual property firm.
