Hadef & Partners announced Partner and Head of Department appointments

Hadef & Partners announced two Partner appointments in its Dubai Dispute Resolution team. Kadry Zaghawa and Mohammed Al Dhaheri have been promoted, effective from 1 January 2016.

Kadry Zaghawa has over 20 years of experience working in the UAE at both regional and international law firms. He has an extensive background in a wide range of litigation and disputes involving commercial, insurance, real estate and marine matters. His has deep local knowledge and experience of litigating in both Dubai and the Middle East region, and provides clients with clear direction throughout the local court processes.

Mohammed Al Dhaheri has rights of audience as an Advocate in the UAE courts. He is experienced in advising on a diverse range of court litigation and disputes including civil and criminal cases. He has a wealth of experience acting on commercial litigation matters in addition to real estate and banking matters, including white collar crime. Mohammed holds an LLB in Sharia & Law from the United Arab Emirates University, (Hons with distinction). He also holds an LLM and certificate in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution from Georgetown University, Washington DC.

Further, Ashraf Sayed has been appointed Head of Commercial Property, and Victoria Woods has been appointed Head of Commercial.

Ashraf Sayed advises on a range of real estate and commercial matters, including real estate developments and Islamic finance. Ashraf represents a variety of clients including government entities, master developers, investors, and corporate occupiers. He advises on contentious as well as transactional matters including sale and purchase of high value real estate, joint ventures, property management arrangements, real estate finance, property litigation, corporate structuring and all aspects of project initiation and site acquisition, to post-project completion and management.

Victoria Woods has extensive experience as a practising solicitor gained from both the UK and the UAE markets. She regularly advises clients on cross-border transactions involving distribution, franchising and commercial agency, on issues arising under outsourcing and sales arrangements and on the subject of confidentiality, privacy, general liability and risk mitigation. Victoria’s commercial advisory practice covers a wide range of corporate commercial topics, in a number of sectors including food and beverage, leisure and retail.
