Philip practices in all fields of real estate law and intellectual property law with over 10 years legal experience in the UAE.
Prior to joining Hadef & Partners, Philip performed instrumental in-house roles over a period of six years within the legal departments of Emaar and Nakheel.
He has extensive experience and a deep knowledge of all aspects of UAE real estate law, including contract drafting and formulating documentation and processes, in liaison with the Dubai Land Department, for the registration of freehold property for foreigners.
Philip also has broad experience in contentious and non-contentious intellectual property law having managed the intellectual property portfolios of Emaar and Nakheel. His expertise extends to trade mark and copyright registrations, enforcement actions and oppositions.
Philip holds a Bachelors Degree in General Law, an LLM and a Bachelors Degree in Commerce. He has also completed a two year post graduate specialisation programme in Intellectual Property conducted jointly by World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and University of South Africa (UNISA).
