Michael is a member of the dispute resolution group in Abu Dhabi, he focuses his practice on international arbitration. Michael is very familiar with various sets of arbitration rules and the workings of leading arbitration centres. Michael has experience acting for clients in a range of disputes in numerous jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Hadef & Partners Michael spent two years working in the dispute resolution group of an international law firm in Tokyo. Additionally, Michael has worked at a number of leading international arbitration centres across Asia and in the international arbitration practice group of an international law firm in London.
In addition to his practical international arbitration experience, Michael has published numerous articles in leading international arbitration publications.
Michael obtained his first degree, a B.A Honours in Criminology from the University of Windsor, Canada and went on to do a Master’s degree in Criminology at the University of Sydney. He then obtained an LL.B from the University of Sydney and an LL.M in International Commercial Arbitration Law from Stockholm University.
He is admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales, Australia, as a solicitor in England and Wales and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
